Internship: Assistant to Programme Manager
Asteroid Foundation is a Luxembourg-based non-profit organization with the mission to promote worldwide public awareness about asteroids and space, as well as to inspire the younger generation.
About this role
The intern will assist the Programme Manager in the planning and implementation of the Foundation’s Asteroid Day educational events hosted in Luxembourg at the end of June 2024, and will support social media communication. This is an opportunity to work with an international team and learn more about event management, communications, and the subjects of asteroids and space.
The internship will be from mid-April till the second week of July 2024.
Responsibilities
Event logistics and operations:
- Assist with local event logistics and operations administration (file management, data verification and update)
- Oversee and manage relationships with different service providers and stakeholders.
- Offer hands-on support during the preparation of the events and at the events (venue set-up, on-site ad-hoc support)
Communication:
- Participate in the production, communication and sharing of initiatives aimed at raising the profile of the Foundation (presentation, newsletters, social media, etc.).
- Monitoring of the non-profit and space sectors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- First work experience in an admin/assistant role is desired
- Responsible, detail-oriented, outgoing, excellent work ethic
- English and French proficiency required, Luxembourgish a plus
- Digital Competence: G-suite, Project Management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello), Social media scheduling platforms (e.g. Hootsuite), WordPress

- The offices are located near Luxembourg Gare Centrale
- Hours are primarily Monday – Friday with occasional need for evening or weekend work during the events, notably towards end of June 2024
